Taz Anderson Jr., Chairman and Founder of Taz Anderson Realty Co., is a well-known figure in the Atlanta area for his entrepreneurial activities in three different business areas. Real estate, outdoor advertising spectaculars, and wireless video/audio communications; with over 40 years of business experience working in various aspects of these industries.
A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management, Anderson was a standout at various positions for the Georgia Tech Football Team during the Bobby Dodd coaching era, and was co-captain in 1960. Anderson remains active with his alma mater, having been the co-founder of the Yellow Jacket Alumni Clubs, and served for 10 years as a member of the Georgia Tech Athletic Association Board of Trustees. He developed the original expansion of Alexander Memorial Coliseum in 1985, and chaired marketing of the original expansion of Bobby Dodd Stadium.
After Graduation, Anderson played in the National Football League for the St. Louis Football Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons from 1961 to 1967. Anderson was honored as Rookie of the Year while playing with the Cardinals.
In 1963, Anderson began his professional real estate career, and continues to be directly involved in the development, marketing, and sale of commercial and residential real estate.
Geoff Anderson is President of Taz Anderson Realty Company. He has a unique skill set based on his experience in the military, corporate world and the private sector.
Mr. Anderson started his career as a naval officer following his graduation from the Naval Academy in 1987. While at the Academy he played on the Navy football team and was a platoon commander. During his tour at the Academy, Anderson was awarded an MBA in 1994 at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
In 1994 Anderson was hired by the E&J Gallo Winery in Modesto, California as an Assistant Marketing Manager for the company’s domestic E&J Brandy product. This lead to his appointment as the Marketing Director for Gallo’s Latin American division where Anderson worked for two years handling the sales and marketing for the company’s entire product line in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America.
Anderson left Gallo to work for Schieffelin & Somerset as the Director of Marketing for the Western Region of the United States. During his tenure with S&S, Anderson worked with both corporate marketing and field sales to develop marketing and advertising programs for brands that accounted for $350 million in sales annually.
In 1999 Anderson left Schieffelin & Somerset to work for the Taz Anderson Realty Company. Anderson is a licensed real estate salesperson and recently passed the Georgia Broker Examination.
Geoff is married to the former Stephanie R. Squarcia of Plymouth, Massachusetts and the couple resides in Atlanta with their two daughters Sophie Rose and Audrey Leigh.
Beau Bruce is one of the newest additions to the Taz Anderson Realty Team, coming on as Program Manager for The Aberdeen in May 2006. A native Atlantan and Georgia Tech management graduate; Beau played on the Georgia Tech football team. Mr. Bruce brings over 28 years of experience in design, development and construction to the Taz Anderson Realty Team.
During Beau’s early years as a Project Manager he was heavily focused on the commercial and industrial projects with Brooks Erection and Construction Company in St. Louis, Missouri and with E.S.I. Inc. of Tennessee. He developed a vast working knowledge of general contracting and complete design build developments.
In 1999 Mr. Bruce joined the real estate industry with Kairos Development Corporation while simultaneously diving into the world of entrepreneurship by establishing Bruce & Bruce, Inc. Over the last seven years Beau has been the Director of Construction and Development for some award winning residential and commercial mixed use projects in metro Atlanta.
Beau is married to Angie Bruce and they currently reside in Marietta, Georgia. The couple has two sons, Nathan who is attending Georgia Tech and Daniel who is attending Kennesaw State University.
Barbara Pendergraft is Controller of Taz Anderson Realty Company. She has been with the company since 1997 after relocating from Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Originally from Columbiana, Alabama; Mrs. Pendergraft has continued to make her way into larger and larger markets as she advances her career. She called Chattanooga along with the Chattanooga News Free Press her home for 16 years. As an integral part of the organization; Barbara was Systems Coordinator and Staff Accountant specializing in financial reporting and fixed assets.
As Controller at Taz Anderson Realty Company, Barbara performs many roles in the following areas: accounting, payroll, and human resources. She is Taz Anderson Realty’s “left hand” and a vital member to the team.
She is a dedicated member of the community; her civic involvement includes serving as a member of the Austell Planning & Zoning for two years and is currently Chairman. In addition, Barbara is past president of the American Society of Women Accountants for the Chattanooga and Atlanta chapters.
Barbara is married to David Pendergraft, a manager for McCormick & Co. and has two sons, Nick Powell and Ben Pendergraft
